| 正面描述 | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a boldly engraved Persian poetic legend in elegant Nasta'liq calligraphic script, arranged in three horizontal registers divided by ruled lines. The central legend reads a couplet conferring royal authority upon Shah Sulayman II, followed by the mint name Mashhad and the regnal year 1163 AH. The calligraphy is deeply struck and of high artistic quality, characteristic of late Safavid gold coinage, with sweeping ligatures filling the flan to its rim. |
