Obverse description Central field occupied by four large Chinese characters arranged in a cross pattern, reading 光緒銀圓 (Guangxu Silver Dollar) and 貳錢 (Two Qian), rendered in bold, brushstroke-style raised lettering. The characters fill the majority of the coin's face, with the denomination 貳錢 positioned to the left and lower portions of the design. The entire design is enclosed within a prominent toothed or granulated border that runs continuously around the coin's rim, characteristic of Kashgar mint issues of the Guangxu period.
