Obverse description Central field displays the heraldic shield bearing the arms of Wesemael, enclosed within a raised inner circle forming a beaded border. The shield is rendered in the Gothic armorial style typical of Low Countries feudal coinage of the early fifteenth century. A circular legend in uncial characters surrounds the inner circle, separated from it by a plain field. The coin's irregular flan, characteristic of hammered billon issues, is evident at the periphery.
