| Beschrijving voorzijde | Rampant lion to left occupying the central field, rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style characteristic of low-denomination Brabantine billon coinage. The lion is depicted with forelegs raised and tail curled, identifiable as the heraldic lion of Brabant. The flan is irregular and the coin is struck without a surrounding legend, leaving the field plain around the device. |
