| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and draped bust of Charles II facing right, with long flowing curls falling to the shoulders and armour visible at the truncation. A mintmaster's mark (F) appears at the base of the bust truncation. The effigy is rendered in a bold baroque style typical of Scottish milled coinage of the period. The surrounding legend reads CAROLVS · II · DEI : GRA · in raised Latin characters, separated by decorative stops. The coin's milled border runs along the full circumference of the obverse field. |
