Obverse description Uniformed bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II facing left, depicted in military attire with epaulettes and collar detail, set within a beaded inner border. The engraver's initial 'G' appears in the lower right field below the portrait. The encircling legend reads WILHELM II DEUTSCHER KAISER KOENIG V PREUSSEN, partially inverted at the base consistent with the medal alignment of this pattern piece. The portrait is rendered in a refined, medallic style characteristic of Karl Goetz's work.
