Reverse description Centrally placed crowned imperial German eagle displayed with spread wings, bearing on its breast a quartered shield surmounted by an electoral helmet and flanked by elaborate laurel and oak branches. The design conforms to the standard Kaiserreich reverse type established for German Empire silver coinage under the currency reform of 1871–1873. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs around the upper field, the date appears to the right, and ZWEI MARK is inscribed along the lower periphery between two five-pointed stars, all within a beaded border.
