Obverse description Unadorned right-facing effigy of Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen, depicted with a full beard and bare head, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and facial features. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower field, with the mint mark 'D' (Munich) incuse directly below. The surrounding legend reads 'GEORG II HERZOG V. SACHSEN-MEININGEN' and is separated from the field by a continuous inner beaded border. The overall portrait style is characteristic of late 19th-century German state coinage.
