正面铭文 ABTRANSPORT DER FRANZÖSISCHEN BESATZUNG AUS GLOGAU: JAHRE 1814. STADTBANK GLOGAU Zahle gegen diesen Scheck aus meinem Guthaben an den Inhaber 2 MARK Glogau Konto E № 044592 FLEMMING – WISKOTT A. · G. GLOGAU
背面描述 The entire reverse is occupied by a large horizontal vignette in blue-grey and ochre tones after a drawing by Heinrich Schiestl, illustrating the handover of the French-held fortress of Glogau to Prussian and Russian forces on 17 April 1814; mounted officers from both sides are shown in parley before the town's distinctive skyline of church towers and fortifications in the middle ground. An ornamental border with stylised Art Nouveau foliate motifs in blue frames the composition on all sides, with the denomination 'ZWEI – MARK' in bold letterpress across the top. A descriptive caption and the registered design number are printed in small type along the lower margin.

备注

Glogau's municipal bank issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that followed Germany's post-WWI economic collapse — local authorities across Silesia were printing their own emergency currency faster than the Reichsbank could supply coin. Carl Flemming & T. C. Wiskott A.G. was headquartered in Glogau itself, making this an unusually local production from press to issuer. Heinrich Schiestl, a Munich-based graphic artist closely associated with Jugendstil ecclesiastical illustration, brought a decorative sensibility to Notgeld design that was atypical for municipal emergency issues.
