| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue, black, and salmon-pink tones with a decorative Art Nouveau-style border incorporating scrollwork and the Bielefeld civic arms in each corner. A central rectangular vignette presents a detailed letterpress scene of the historic healing spring (Heilquelle) at Köttelbrink, with figures gathered around the well amid period architecture. Flanking text panels recount the spring's curative history from 1666, and the lower margin carries the issuing authority inscription with two facsimile signatures of the Oberbürgermeister and Bürgermeister, dated 700-Jahrfeier 15. Mai 1921. |

The cartouche, framed in ornate scrollwork, contains an anecdote concerning Syndikus Hoffbauer and King Jérôme, with a moralizing inscription below; beneath it, three heraldic shields including the Bielefeld coat of arms are arranged under the label Tormarke. Denomination numerals "2" appear in all four corners, and a three-line verse in Gothic script runs across the lower border. |
