Obverse description Central field features the crowned royal cypher of King Christian V, consisting of an interlaced monogram beneath a royal crown. The date is divided by the monogram, appearing to either side. Mintmaster initials P.E.I. are present in the field. The design is enclosed by a beaded inner circle near the coin's edge.
