| Beschrijving keerzijde | Crowned elaborate royal arms or coat of arms dividing the date above the denomination numeral and Landskrona mint mark, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The crowned shield displays the Swedish heraldic emblems in the Baroque manner characteristic of the reign of Carl XI. The peripheral legend in Latin capital letters identifies the issuing city mint, reading continuously around the field. |

Charles XI struck this issue in the same year Swedish forces met the Danish-Dutch fleet at the Battle of Öland and, more decisively, crushed the Danish army at Landskrona in June 1675 — the very town named on the mint responsible for this coin. The Landskrona mint operated intermittently and was never among Sweden's most prolific facilities; output from this facility is substantially scarcer than contemporary Stockholm production.
The .694 fineness reflects Sweden's chronic silver shortage during the Scanian War period, when monetary demands of sustained campaigning kept the alloy standards under constant downward pressure.
