正面描述 The obverse is printed in blue, black, and orange on a pale ground, with the denomination numeral and the title 'GUTSCHEIN' in bold Gothic lettering across the upper border. Three octagonal vignettes dominate the central field: at left, the Neheim town hall rendered in fine line engraving; at centre, the civic coat of arms of Neheim bearing a white eagle on a blue field with a boar's head in chief, topped by a mural crown; and at right, an industrial riverside scene with a mill or forge and a weir. The lower panel carries a three-line validity clause in Gothic script, followed by a manuscript signature of the Magistrat official, with the serial number and printer's imprint 'LOUIS KOCH HALBERSTADT' at the foot.

备注

Neheim was a textile and metalworking town in Westphalia, and like hundreds of German municipalities it turned to local emergency currency — Notgeld — when small-denomination coinage effectively vanished from circulation during the First World War. Stadt Neheim issued through a municipal authority rather than a savings bank or chamber of commerce, which was the less common route for towns of its size.

Louis Koch of Halberstadt was a regional commercial printer, not a specialist banknote firm. The technical limitations that implies are worth bearing in mind when examining paper consistency and impression quality across surviving examples of this series.
