| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two horizontal registers. The upper register presents a central text panel with the issuing authority and validity dates, flanked on the left by a vignette of a domed classical garden pavilion set among trees, and on the right by a vignette of a decorative urn on a pedestal within a park landscape. The lower register features two denomination roundels bearing the numeral '2' in red, flanking a central vignette of Ludwigslust Palace viewed across a canal.
