Descrizione del dritto	Orange and black bicolour design with a central heraldic shield bearing the black Goslar eagle on an orange field, flanked on either side by large red numeral '2' denomination figures. Below the shield, the word 'Mark' appears twice in Gothic blackletter script, followed by a text band announcing the note as 'Notgeld des 1000-jährigen Goslar.' The lower portion carries two lines of cursive script stating the note was issued on the day of the city's millennial celebration, 2 July 1922, by the city administration (Stadtverwaltung), with the designer credit 'ENTW.: RUDOLF FRICKE' at lower left and printer credit 'DRUCK: LATTMANN, GOSLAR' at lower right.

Descrizione del rovescio	Vivid tricolour composition in red, blue, and black on a white lined underprint ground, centred on a large red numeral '2' superimposed over stylised Gothic architectural lettering in blue. To the left stands an armoured medieval knight in profile, sword lowered, rendered in a flat woodcut-inspired style; to the right stands a crowned, bearded emperor in long robes holding an orb and sceptre. A bold red panel at the foot of the note carries the city name 'D Goslar' in Gothic blackletter, flanked by decorative ornaments, with designer and printer credits repeated in the lower margin.
