正面描述 Central vignette in a bold woodcut-expressionist style, rendered in blue, red, and black, shows two figures in 16th-century costume engaged in a pike or staff duel, set against an architectural background. The year 1534 appears at upper right and the inscription ANNO at upper left, flanking a Low German dialectal motto along the top border. Decorative side panels bear stylised foliate and crown ornaments in red, with the denomination numeral 2 and the word MARK printed in large characters at lower left and right; the lower portion carries issuing authority text, a redemption notice dated 1 August 1921, and two manuscript signatures above the printer's imprint DRUCK: GEBRÜDER JÄNECKE, HANNOVER.

备注

Münster's 1921 notgeld issues were part of the broader municipal emergency currency wave that swept German cities as the Reichsbank struggled to keep pace with postwar inflation and coin hoarding. Stadt Münster commissioned several denominations simultaneously, with design work handled by Jos. Dominicus — a choice that gave the series a degree of artistic coherence unusual among notgeld of this period, where design quality varied wildly between municipalities.

Gebrüder Jänecke of Hannover were among the more prolific notgeld printers of the early 1920s, handling commissions from municipalities across Lower Saxony and Westphalia. The reference suffix variants (3/5 in this case) typically indicate paper stock or overprint differences within the same plate run.
