To the right, a smaller vignette presents a view of a fortified castle identified as 'De Köbbelaborg 1145.' A Low German verse in Gothic blackletter script runs across the top of the note within a ruled border, and the lower right quadrant contains the issuance text with date 'Burg 2/s, den 24. Mai 1916' and the issuing authority 'De Kaspels-Gemeen.' together with three manuscript signatures.

备注

Burg in Dithmarschen is a small municipality in Schleswig-Holstein, and this 2 Mark Notgeld from 1916 is a product of the acute coin shortage that swept German municipalities in the early war years — silver and copper were being systematically diverted for military use, leaving local authorities to fill the gap with emergency paper. The Kaspel designation reflects the old Danish-era administrative subdivision that still defined local governance in this part of Schleswig, a region only fully absorbed into Prussia after 1866.

J. Nielsen as designer is a name consistent with the region's persistent Danish cultural influence in the southern Jutland borderlands. The DeNG reference places this within a documented series variant (208.1-3/3), suggesting at least three known sub-types.
