| Obverse description | The arms of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen occupy the central field: a heraldic shield bearing a diagonal key, surmounted by an elaborate mural crown adorned with oak leaves and acorns. Two rampant lions serve as supporters on either side of the shield, resting on ornate foliate scrollwork. The circumferential legend reads FREIE · HANSESTADT · BREMEN ·, with the Hamburg mint mark 'J' positioned at the base between two separating dots. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the classical German imperial coinage style. |
