| 正面描述 | Bare-headed, draped bust of Queen Isabel II facing right, her hair dressed in tight curls and gathered at the crown. The denomination numeral '2' appears to the left of the effigy and the abbreviation 'M.' to the right. A circular legend surrounds the bust, with the date appearing in the lower exergue area. The portrait is rendered in a neoclassical style consistent with early issues of her reign. |

This type spans the regency of María Cristina through the early personal rule of Isabel II, a period when Spain was tearing itself apart over the Carlist succession. The copper coinage was repeatedly disrupted by the First Carlist War, with several mints in contested territories either halted or seized outright. Segovia, Jubia, and Barcelona each struck this type at various points, and mint-mark attribution on worn examples remains genuinely contested among specialists.
