Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Ferdinand VII facing right, rendered in low relief in the neoclassical style characteristic of the third portrait series. The mint mark 'J' (Jubia) appears to the left of the truncation and the denomination '2' to the right, with the date below in the exergue area. The peripheral legend reads FERDN · VII · D · G · HISP · REX, identifying the monarch as Ferdinand VII, King of Spain by the Grace of God, separated by pellets. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible at the rim.
