Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Spain surmounted by an ornate crown, with the denomination numeral '2' and the letter 'L' (for Liards) flanking the shield to the left. The date 1709 is split to either side of the crown at the top of the field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading the titles of Philip V as Duke of Burgundy and Brabant, with the milled edge visible along the rim.
