Reverse description The reverse displays a five-line Latin inscription AD / USUM / DUCATUS / LUXEM. / 1757 arranged within an open wreath of laurel or olive branches, tied at the base with a small floral knot. The wreath frames the legend symmetrically, with leafy sprays extending to either side. The date 1757 appears on the lowest line of the inscription, within the wreath. A beaded inner border encircles the entire design, consistent with the obverse treatment. The composition is characteristic of Austrian Netherlands coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
