| Obverse description | Central device features an ornate interlaced double-J cypher of Emperor Joseph II rendered in foliate calligraphic style, flanked on either side by the Roman numeral II surmounted by an imperial crown, with a larger imperial crown positioned above the entire central group. The field is plain, and the whole design is enclosed within a toothed (milled) border. The circular Latin legend reads JOS•II•D•G•R•IMP•DUX•LUXEMB, distributed around the periphery. |
