| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the centenary of Bulgaria's unification with Eastern Rumelia in 1885 — an annexation that the Great Powers had explicitly forbidden under the Treaty of Berlin, yet which Prince Alexander of Battenberg executed anyway, triggering a brief war with Serbia the following year. Bulgaria won that war decisively despite facing a coalition that expected otherwise.
