Obverse description Bare-headed youthful effigy of King George I facing left, rendered in low relief with finely detailed hair. The encircling legend reads ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΣ Α! ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ, identifying the monarch as George I, King of the Greeks. The date 1869 appears in the lower exergue, and the engraver's signature ΒΑΡΡΕ is incised beneath the truncation of the portrait. The design reflects the neoclassical medallic style characteristic of Désiré-Albert Barre's work at the Paris and Strasbourg mints.

Reverse description Central denomination numeral '2' above the Greek legend ΛΕΠΤΑ, all enclosed within a finely engraved wreath of olive branches tied at the base with a bow. The mintmark 'B' (for the Strasbourg Mint) appears in the lower exergue, below the wreath knot. The coin is encircled by a plain raised rim with fine dentilation. The overall composition is balanced and typical of mid-19th century Greek bronze coinage produced at French provincial mints.
