| Obverse description | A large ornate royal crown occupies the center of the field, rendered in fine detail with pearl-studded arches, decorative floral motifs, and a cross pattée at the apex. The circular legend ΚΡΗΤΙΚΗ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ (State of Crete) runs along the upper periphery in Greek characters. The date appears at the bottom of the field, with the engraver's signature Α. ΒΟΡΡΕΛ incised below the crown. The coin is bordered by a raised denticled rim. |
