Obverse description Printed in purple and lilac tones, the obverse carries the Honduran national coat of arms as a vignette to the left within an elaborate guilloche underprint, while a portrait of Marco Aurelio Soto occupies the right portion of the note with his name inscribed below. The denomination numeral '2' appears as a large latent-image element at centre, with the bank title 'BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS' running along the top and 'DOS LEMPIRAS' at the bottom. Three signature lines for Presidente, Gerente, and Secretario de Finanzas are positioned in the lower register.
