| Reverse description | A boldly rendered Albanian double-headed eagle displayed in the centre of the field, wings spread, flanked on either side by a fasces (lictor's bundle with axe), the Fascist symbol of authority. The legend SHQIPNI appears at the top of the field, with ALBANIA and the denomination 2 LEK inscribed in large characters below the eagle. The date 1939 appears at lower left and the Roman numeral XVIII (the eighteenth year of the Fascist era) at lower right. The engraver's signature G. ROMAGNOLI and the trial designation PROVA are incused near the lower rim, with the Rome Mint mark R at the very bottom. |
