Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra (imperial cipher) of Sultan Mehmed V Reshad, rendered in fine calligraphic style with characteristic looped and vertical strokes. The Arabic inscription 'Reshad Year 1' appears within and flanking the tughra. The coin border is adorned with a ring of sixteen six-pointed stars arranged equidistantly around the circumference, set within a reeded rim. The overall design reflects the refined Ottoman calligraphic tradition typical of early 20th-century imperial coinage.
