Additional information

Estonia's 2 Krooni was introduced as the country was navigating the aftermath of its 1924 communist coup attempt and consolidating a genuinely independent monetary system for the first time in its history. The .500 fineness was a deliberate economic compromise — silver was expensive, and the young republic was managing its bullion reserves carefully after pegging the kroon to the Swedish gold standard in 1928.

The 1930 date places this coin squarely in the window before Konstantin Päts suspended parliament in 1934.
