Obverse description Central round hole surrounded by an elaborate interlaced design featuring the royal crowned monogram of Queen Margrethe II, flanked by two heraldic lions rampant amid ornate scrollwork. Heart-shaped ornaments appear at the left and right of the field. The inscription PROVE is incused vertically along the left side of the field, indicating trial strike status. Mint initials LG and JP-A appear in the lower exergue area alongside the date 1990.

Trial strikes from the Royal Danish Mint's internal production testing rarely surface in public collections — most were destroyed or retained institutionally. This 1990 piece preceded the circulating 2 Krone series and would have been used to verify die alignment, planchet behavior, and striking pressure before full production runs were authorized.

KM#Pr70 is sparsely documented in the standard references, which is not unusual for Danish proof and pattern material of this period.
