Two heart motifs appear at the upper left and upper right of the central design. Pattern coins from Denmark's 1988 coinage reform trials rarely surface in dealer inventories. This particular type Va designation places it within a numbered sequence of competing designs evaluated before the definitive circulating 2 Krone type was settled — meaning it was rejected, or at minimum not selected as the production standard.
Danish pattern series from this period were struck in limited numbers strictly for internal Nationalbanken evaluation.
