Obverse description The large Norwegian royal coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting the crowned lion rampant holding an axe, set within a heraldic shield draped with an ermine-lined royal mantle and surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is encircled by the collar chain of the Order of Saint Olav, with the cross badge pendant below. The denomination legend '2 KRONER' curves along the upper periphery, while the date '19 06' is divided by a mintmark and appears along the lower border, all separated by small dot ornaments.
