| 裏面の説明 | An armored arm emerging from a cloud at left, wielding a drawn sword that severs an open hand reaching toward a Royal Crown; the central devices are partially enclosed within a beaded circle. The Latin legend runs in the outer field, with the date reference ii Feb (2nd February) incorporated into the inscription, commemorating the Danish victory over the Swedish army at the Battle of Copenhagen. |

This piece commemorates the Danish repulse of the Swedish assault on Copenhagen in February 1659, when Charles X Gustav's army — having crossed the frozen Little Belt and Great Belt the previous winter in one of history's most audacious winter marches — attempted to take the capital itself and failed. The siege's failure ultimately forced Sweden to the negotiating table at the Treaty of Copenhagen in 1660, which paradoxically stripped Denmark of Scania, Halland, and Blekinge permanently.
Three distinct types were struck, differing in die layout and legend arrangement. This Type 3 is the scarcest of the three.
