| Obverse description | Central field bears the ornately shaped lozenge-patterned shield of the Wittelsbach dynasty arms, displaying the characteristic diagonal fusils (lozenges) of Bavaria in alternating bands. The shield is rendered in relief within a plain circular border. A continuous Latin legend encircles the shield in the outer ring, reading the abbreviated titles of Elector Maximilian III Joseph. |
