| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large ornate interlaced cypher of the bishop's initials 'IP' (Ioannes Philippus), surmounted by a cardinal's hat with pendant tassels on either side. The cypher is flanked symmetrically by the arms of Lamberg, displaying rows of ermine spots. A toothed border encloses the design. The circular Latin legend reads IOAN PHILIP CARDINAL DE LAMBERG, distributed around the full circumference. |
