| Obverse description | Central field bears a crowned heraldic shield charged with three fleurs-de-lis arranged in the French royal manner, the whole surmounted by an open princely crown. Flanking the shield at mid-height are two crowned initials 'L', each individually crowned, referencing Louise-Marguerite of Lorraine. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads the names and titles of the co-ruling consorts, separated by stops, running clockwise around the beaded border. The overall composition follows early seventeenth-century French feudal hammered coin conventions, with bold relief on the armorial design. |

| Reverse description | A plain Latin cross of bold relief occupies the central field, dividing it into four quarters. In the upper two quarters appear, respectively, a small crown and a fleur-de-lis, while the lower two quarters each contain a fleur-de-lis, together forming an alternating pattern of two crowns and two lilies in the angles of the cross. A circular Latin legend runs around the entire periphery within a beaded border, citing the biblical verse from Psalm 19 concerning the fame of the rulers spreading over the earth. The die-work is characteristic of early seventeenth-century French provincial hammered coinage. |
