Reverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in full, with spread wings, occupying the central field. On the breast of the eagle, an orb bears the Roman numeral 'Z' (denoting the value of 2 Kreuzer). The surrounding legend contains the imperial titles of Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor, in abbreviated Latin form. The eagle's bold rendering is characteristic of mid-16th century Germanic hammered coinage.
