| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head crowned and facing outward, surmounted by a larger central imperial crown. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb surmounted by a cross in its left. On the breast of the eagle is a shield depicting St. George on horseback slaying a dragon. The date and mint-master initials appear in the exergue below the eagle, with the year flanking the mintmaster's monogram (e.g. 1812 Н М). The design is contained within a plain inner border with a beaded outer rim. |
