Obverse description The obverse features the State Emblem of the Soviet Union, comprising a globe showing the Eastern Hemisphere surmounted by a hammer and sickle, the whole flanked by two symmetrical sheaves of wheat bound with a ribbon tied in seven loops on each side, and topped by a five-pointed star.
