Descrizione del dritto	Central vignette of an intaglio-printed Bird of Paradise with wings spread, perched on a kundu (hourglass) drum, set against a multicolour underprint of traditional geometric patterns in teal and yellow-green tones. The numeral '2' appears at upper left and a decorative Sepik-style ornamental numeral at upper right, with the issuer's name across the top. Two manuscript signatures appear at lower centre, attributed to the Governor and the Secretary, Department of Finance, with the serial number printed twice at lower left and right.

Descrizione del rovescio	The central vignette presents an arrangement of traditional Melanesian artefacts rendered in fine intaglio engraving: a Kula armband, a tooth necklace, and a Sepik clay pot, all overlaid on a richly patterned multicolour underprint of tapa cloth motifs in yellow-green, teal, and olive tones. The ornate Sepik-style numeral '2' appears at upper left and lower right. The issuer's name is printed in bold letterpress at the lower margin.
