| Obverse description | Central circular cartouche enclosed by a beaded border containing a two-line Arabic inscription reading 'Khan Azz Nasrahu' (May his victory be glorified). Radiating from the central cartouche is an outer field filled with a continuous Arabic legend in bold script reading 'Sultan of the Two Lands and Khagan of the Two Seas, the Sultan son of the Sultan,' referencing the Ottoman sultan Mahmud II. The entire design is enclosed by a rope-pattern border at the coin's rim. |
