The outer field, separated from the cartouche by a radiating design, carries a continuous Arabic legend naming the issuing sovereign: 'Sultan Mahmud Khan son of Sultan Abd al-Hamid Khan, may his reign endure.' A rope-pattern border encircles the entire reverse design at the rim. |
