Descrizione del dritto	The heraldic coat of arms of the United East India Company (VOC) displayed centrally, comprising a quartered shield supported on either side by a rampant lion, each holding a flagstaff surmounted by a flag. A crowned lion passant gardant appears as crest above the shield. A scrolling ribbon below the arms bears the legend UNITED · EAST · INDIA · COMPANY in raised Latin characters, with the date 1787 inscribed in the exergue beneath the ribbon. The design is rendered in high relief consistent with proof striking.

Descrizione del rovescio	The Arabic numeral '2' appears at the top of the field, denoting the denomination of 2 Kepings. In the centre, the Jawi word 'كفڠ' (Keping) is inscribed in bold Arabic script, flanked by decorative lozenge ornaments. Below the central inscription, the numerals '١٢٠٠' appear, representing the Hijri year 1200. The entire central design is surrounded by multiple groups of projecting rays radiating outward toward the milled border, giving a sunburst effect characteristic of this pattern issue.
