正面描述 Left-facing truncated bust of Sun Yat-sen in civilian attire with a mandarin collar, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detailing. A six-character Chinese legend arcs across the upper field, reading 中華民國十八年 (Year 18 of the Republic of China). The legend is distributed across the upper portion of the field in a semi-circular arrangement flanking the bust. The rim is bordered by a continuous beaded inner border. The overall style reflects the refined engraving work associated with the proposed Junk dollar pattern series of 1929.

附加信息

The "Junk dollar" pattern series of 1929 emerged from the Republic of China's sustained effort to unify a chaotic national currency — dozens of provincial mints were still striking their own silver, and Beijing had been pushing for a standardized national coinage since at least 1914. The junk design was among several competing proposals evaluated that year, none of which advanced to full production. Kann's documentation of multiple sub-varieties within this type reflects genuine die differences across the surviving pattern population, not simply cataloging convention.

L&M#99 places this among the rarest of the 1929 pattern submissions.
