| Obverse description | The obverse bears a central field dominated by four large Chinese ideograms arranged vertically and read top to bottom, right to left, denoting the denomination and coin type. These central characters are surrounded by a circular arrangement of additional Chinese inscriptions identifying the issuing province (Kwangsi) and the Republican year of issue.
