| Obverse description | The obverse features a horizontal compositional scene inspired by the works of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky, depicting children engaged with books in an artistic tableau occupying the central field. At the upper left, the small National Emblem of Ukraine (trident) is positioned alongside the Cyrillic inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) and the mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine. The inscription СЕРЦЕ ВІДДАЮ ДІТЯМ (To Children I Give My Heart) forms part of the legend across the composition. The coin's issue year 2003 and face value 2 ГРИВНІ appear along the lower portion of the field. |
