| Descrizione del dritto | Within an inner beaded border framed by a conventionalized foliate ornament, the obverse features a bas-relief depiction of the Theotokos Hodegetria (Mother of God Odigitria) with the Christ Child, replicating a sculptural fragment that survives above the portal of the Tithe Church. The State Emblem of Ukraine (trident) is positioned above the central effigy. The circular legend УКРАЇНА runs along the upper periphery, while the date 1996 and the face value 2 ГРИВНІ appear in two lines beneath the central device. The entire composition is enclosed within an outer beaded border. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse presents a ghostly architectural reconstruction of the Tithe Church (Desyatynna Church) as restored by Professor Yu. S. Aseev, rendered in mirror-polished contour lines against a matte field to convey its non-extant status while evoking the surviving foundations from which it appears to rise. Encircling the upper periphery of the matte field, three Cyrillic inscriptions — КИЇВ, ДЕСЯТИННА ЦЕРКВА, and 996 (the year of the church's founding) — are separated by stylized bird motifs. Below the architectural design, a ribbon cartouche on a stippled background bears the inscription ДУХОВНІ СКАРБИ УКРАЇНИ (Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine). |
