| Reverse description | The reverse presents a ghostly architectural reconstruction of the Tithe Church (Desyatynna Church) as restored by Professor Yu. S. Aseev, rendered in mirror-polished contour lines against a matte field to convey its non-extant status while evoking the surviving foundations from which it appears to rise. Encircling the upper periphery of the matte field, three Cyrillic inscriptions — КИЇВ, ДЕСЯТИННА ЦЕРКВА, and 996 (the year of the church's founding) — are separated by stylized bird motifs. Below the architectural design, a ribbon cartouche on a stippled background bears the inscription ДУХОВНІ СКАРБИ УКРАЇНИ (Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine). |
