| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely modeled bust of Ukrainian poet and nationalist figure Olena Teliha facing slightly left, her hair styled in a characteristic mid-length wave. Behind her head, stylized flame-like streaks rise into the upper field, evoking both literary inspiration and martyrdom. The Cyrillic legend ОЛЕНА ТЕЛІГА arcs along the right periphery, while the dates 1906 and 1942, marking the years of her birth and execution, are inscribed in two lines to the right of the portrait in the central field. |

| Additional information |
Olena Teliha was a Ukrainian nationalist poet executed by the Gestapo in Kyiv's Babi Yar ravine in February 1942, shot alongside her husband and dozens of other Ukrainian cultural figures in a single operation. The Germans had initially permitted a degree of Ukrainian cultural activity after occupying Kyiv in 1941, and Teliha had returned from emigration to lead the Writers' Union — a decision she made with full knowledge of the risk. This coin was issued on the 100th anniversary of her birth.
